Ronceverte Elementary

The students in Mrs. Kirby's and Mrs. Ashley's class at Ronceverte had a pumpkin-filled week to prepare for their field trip to The Hanna Farmstead.  First, they engaged in a sensory experience and color-mixing activity finger painting pumpkin cut-outs with red and  yellow paint.  Then, they compared the appearance of four different pumpkins before making predictions about what they would find inside.  Next, they explored the pumpkin insides by digging out seeds and strands with their hands or spoons.  Finally, they worked together to make pumpkin fluff dip to eat with their Scooby Snacks during snack time!
