Trout in the Classroom, an environmental education program sponsored by Trout Unlimited, will begin next school year at Ronceverte Elementary School for all students in Pre-K to 5th grade. The TIC program will include topics in animal husbandry, fish biology, and healthy watersheds. It will also foster environmental stewardship among students while raising trout within our school environment. In addition, the program offers funding for field trips in third through fifth grades. Curriculum kits will be designed for classrooms that align with West Virginia Science Standards providing quality instruction for teachers as they cover these essential topics.
