8th Grade Art Class

8th grade students at Western Greenbrier Middle School are collaboratively creating a striking leaping wolf mural that highlights key artistic techniques such as atmospheric perspective and monochromatic color schemes. This project allows students to explore depth and distance by using variations in value and tone within a single-color hue, effectively demonstrating how objects appear lighter and less detailed as they recede into the background. Through this mural, students are gaining hands-on experience in blending tints, shades, and tones to create a cohesive and dynamic visual narrative centered on their school’s mascot.
