Pre-K through 4th grade students will be bringing home tablets that were purchased by Greenbrier County Schools. These tablets are to be kept at home and students may use them to reinforce basic skills. Please do not throw away the box because the charger and a letter are inside. Any questions about these tablets, please contact the GCS Technology Department at 304-647-6484.

Wednesday, December 21, is a Professional Learning & Faculty Senate Day for staff. The winter break begins Thursday, December 22, and runs through Monday, January 2. This is a reminder that there will be a holiday music program tomorrow, Thursday December 15th, at 6:00pm, here at White Sulphur Springs Elementary school for all 4th and 5th grade students. The doors will open at 5:30pm. Students are to wear holiday themed attire or Western cowboy themed attire.
Please note that if school is on a delay schedule tomorrow due to inclement weather, we will still have the program, however if school is closed the program will be rescheduled for a later date.

This is a reminder that there will be two holiday music programs tomorrow, Tuesday December 13th, here at White Sulphur Springs Elementary School. The Kindergarten and 1st grade show will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the show for 2nd and 3rd graders will begin at 7:00 p.m. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the Kindergarten/1st grade show and the doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 2nd and 3rd grade performance.
Please note that the holiday show for 4th and 5th graders will be held on Thursday.

Attention parents of Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students, If you signed a permission form for your child to stay for the movie tomorrow after school, please make sure you pick up your child at 5:00 p.m. The pick up location has changed to the green gym doors on Mountain Avenue. Your child is welcome to bring a towel or small blanket to sit on to watch the movie.

GCS is proud to partner with the WVSU Extension Service, Children's Home Society, and Greenbrier County Family Support Center to present the Healthy Grandfamilies Resource Fair at The Marvel Center in Rupert on Monday, November 14, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.


Greenbrier County Schools reminds families that schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 8, in observance of Election Day and Friday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Please remember continuation of the school levy is on the ballot.

The levy supports school security (including police officers in all schools), art & music programs; instructional materials & supplies; capital improvements; facility maintenance & repairs; personnel outside the school aid formula; and maintains employee benefits. Early voting ends Friday, November 5. Schools are closed on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8.


Reminder: Fall make-up pictures will be taken tomorrow, November 2nd, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Also, there has been a date change for the Spartan Basketball Skills Camp. The camp will now be held this Thursday, November 3rd, from 5-9 p.m. at GEHS.
