The first meeting of the Healthy Grandfamilies Program of Renick will be on Friday, March 8th, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Renick Community Center on Huff Street in Renick. The goal of this group is to provide emotional and financial support and educational opportunities to grandparents who are raising their grandchildren and others who are in kinship care arrangements. Our speaker for this meeting will be Etta Thornburgh, with the TANF (Temporary Assistance Program for Needy Families) program for Greenbrier County. Come out and learn what benefits may be available to assist you. Childcare will be available, and lunch will be provided. RSVP to 304-920-0601 to secure your space.

The 3rd Graders are studying fossils in Science. They used toothpicks to dig chocolate chips out of chocolate chip cookies to imitate Paleontologist's job of unearthing fossils.

Last week we celebrated kindness week at Frankford. We did everything from wearing red to decorating the walls and sidewalks. We saw an enormous amount of kindness from the staff and students!

Saturday morning the Frankford Elementary Archery team made their way down to Charleston for West Virginia’s largest NASP event at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. This event hosts over 1,270 archers from across the entire state of West Virginia. Our Frankford team participated in the 11am flight and recorded our highest overall team score this season, shooting for a total of 2,741 points. Also, some of our archers recorded their personal best scores of the season! Our team walked away with a 5th place overall finish out of 14 total elementary teams. Congratulations for a successful tournament!

The Frankford Archery Team received a 3rd place finish at the Summers County Tournament in Hinton Saturday. Karson Brammer medaled with 4th place in the elementary boys division and Ryleigh Shirley medaled with 2nd place in the elementary girls division. Great job!
